Some businesses start with a business plan. Patch Fiend started with a YouTube channel and a corgi named Chloe.

My name is Jonathan. I'm a Tennessee native currently running things from Taipei, Taiwan, which tells you pretty much everything you need to know about how this whole operation went.

Over 15 years ago, I started making branded patches to support my airsoft YouTube channel. Nothing fancy. Just a guy who wanted something cool to represent his community. But then came the TactiCorgi, a stubby-legged tactical dog who apparently resonated with a lot of people, and things got interesting.

I'm not a trained artist. I'm a YouTuber who taught himself enough design to get dangerous, then had the good sense to bring in real talent when the characters deserved it. Jim Elston spent decades animating for Disney and DreamWorks, and now he brings that same craftsmanship to Patch Fiend, handling the entire tactical dog collection as well as other original character work. The Modern Pin-up Girls came from other collaborations with artists who knew things I didn't.

What I do bring is a genuine eye for what works in this community. Every patch in the Patch Fiend lineup, whether it's something I designed at midnight or something a guest artist poured months into, has to earn its spot. No filler. No dropshipped garbage. No copying what everyone else is already doing.

Today, Patch Fiend is two things: original designs created in-house or with collaborating artists, and a curated collection of other independent patch makers whose work we believe in. Tactical Hostyle, Mojo Tactical, SWAGR, these aren't random vendors. They're people doing original work that fits the culture.

The patches on your kit, your bag, or your wall should mean something. They should make someone laugh, make someone ask where you got it, or make you feel like the patch was made specifically for you.

That's what we're here for.
